Bio
Liz Miller is a documentary filmmaker, community media artist, and professor of new media/video/film production. Her video works include Novela, Novela (30 min, 2002), Parkville Portraits (2000) and Just Here (1999). Web projects include Moles (1999), and Memories Under Construction. Her work has been exhibited and broadcast at venues including Herter Gallery, Real Art Ways Theatre, Brooks Gallery, New York Hall of Science. She has won awards for her work from the International Association of Women in Radio and Film, Latin American Studies Association, and the National Educational Media Network. Liz has won fellowships from National Endowment of the Arts, Paul Robeson Fund, Frameline.
She is currently working on a feature length documentary "Marvelous Resources." This film examines diverse perspectives on water privatization across the Americas. A special emphasis is placed on "women and water."
